Ski day at Grandvalira

At 8:45, the Mercedes door swings open into the crisp Soldeu air: gloves on, the TC8 gondola hums every five minutes, and the sun brushes the Serra de les Pedrusques ridgeline. Linked since 2003 from Pas de la Casa to Encamp, Grandvalira spreads 210 km of pistes between 1,710 and 2,640 m. Aim for Solanelles to Grau Roig for a first lap, then cruise the 6 km Gall de Bosc blue down toward El Tarter. If a northerly picks up, switch to coffee at 2,250 m in the Refugi del Llac de Pessons.

From there, it’s all comfort: pickup in Andorra la Vella at your hotel, skis loaded, and a 20–30 minute drive depending on access (Encamp via the CG-2, or Soldeu through Canillo). Your vehicle stays on standby for sector changes if weather shifts, to collect prebooked lift passes, and to whisk you back right after last run. While your driver handles the road, snack on trinxat by El Tarter and lock in a late-afternoon soak at Caldea in Escaldes-Engordany, just 8 km away.
