The tang of sea spray rides the ramparts and clings to Grimaldi Castle, where Picasso worked in autumn 1946 and left a compact trove: 23 paintings and 44 drawings. You move from galleries to the terrace facing Cap d’Antibes, pick out La Joie de vivre and uncommon ceramics, then continue to Vallauris, 5 miles inland, the postwar clay capital. Inside the chapel housing War and Peace, installed in 1959, Picasso speaks bluntly—less Riviera sun, more conviction.
Your Antibes private driver collects you at the hotel in a Mercedes and sets the pace while you look, taste, and ask questions. The vehicle is at your disposal for four hours, with flexible stops and a possible detour to Plage de la Salis if the light turns golden. We tour the museum, meet a working potter in the Ferrages district, then return via Golfe-Juan, where Picasso once came ashore and the old Route Nationale 7 still skims the bay for a couple of miles. You enjoy; we handle the driving and timed entries.
