Some 1,500 conical stone roofs, UNESCO-listed since 1996: in Alberobello’s Rione Monti, trulli stack dry-laid chiancarelle under lime‑daubed symbols that locals still repaint before feast days. Eight kilometers away, Locorotondo coils uphill around a centro storico of cummerse, while Martina Franca—baroque since its 14th‑century charter—shows off creamy palazzi on Piazza Maria Immacolata. Between them, the Itria Valley sits at roughly 300 meters: Verdeca vines, veteran olive trees, dry-stone lines, and working masserie punctuate the folds.
Departing Bari, your private chauffeur across Puglia handles hotel pick‑up, timings, and the SP172 drive—about 1h15—to skirt Alberobello’s parking. Then it’s a 15‑minute hop to Locorotondo for an espresso on the piazzetta, 10 more to Martina Franca, and a table held at a masseria among olive rows. In the afternoon, stop with a small EVO oil mill or a capocollo artisan; on the way back, we can detour for a golden‑hour photo by lone trulli in Contrada Coreggia if the light turns just right.
