From Caen’s bustle to the silvery light along the Côte de Nacre, the day quickly shifts to sea air and Belle Époque silhouettes. Between Lion-sur-Mer and Cabourg, the seafront tells a 19th‑century tale of sea bathing; then the Côte Fleurie takes over: Cabourg’s Grand Hôtel tied to Proust, Deauville’s 1923 boardwalk, and, farther east, Honfleur with its 17th‑century Vieux Bassin framed by La Lieutenance and timber‑built Sainte‑Catherine. You wander while they handle the driving: a stroll in Courseulles, sole meunière in Dives‑sur‑Mer, a photo stop in Villerville, then Honfleur via the Pont de Normandie in about 30 minutes from Deauville. The plan stays flexible—fish market in Trouville (morning), caramel tasting from Isigny, or the short climb to Côte de Grâce for estuary views.
