A salty tang drifts off the Skagerrak as low Kattegat light skims the honey‑colored stone of Tjolöholm Manor. Built 1898–1904 by architect Lars Israel Wahlman for the Dickson family, this Arts and Crafts landmark sits above a narrow fjord with terraced gardens and a preserved workers’ village, once heated by steam. Film lovers will spot the lawns from Lars von Trier’s Melancholia. Forty kilometers south of Gothenburg, Halland’s shoreline unfolds into coves, and Kungsbacka—once a Hanseatic outpost—mixes timber houses with cafés around Torget.
Your private driver meets you at the hotel in Gothenburg, settles you into a Mercedes with chilled water, then follows the E6—about 45 minutes—to Tjolöholm. While you tour the manor with an audio guide, stroll the sandy beach and peek into Storstugan, they manage timing and tickets. We continue to Kungsbacka for the market on Storgatan when in season or a fika at Esters Kafé, then loop back along the coast via Onsala and Vallda with photo stops on request. Full flexibility: the vehicle stays at your disposal.
