Leaving Honfleur, Deauville is a 25 km drive via the D62 and D513, a country route skirting marshes, orchards, and hedgerows of the Pays d’Auge. Low cliffs appear around Villerville; Trouville shows off its 1900 seaside villas; and along the boardwalk, opened in 1923, beach cabins carry Hollywood names. Two streets inland, the Deauville-La Touques racecourse, founded in 1864, sets the summer pace with thoroughbred meetings, while low tide stretches the sands toward Bénerville.
Collected at your hotel, you keep a Mercedes at disposal all day while your driver handles traffic and parking so you can wander, taste, and explore freely.
