Dalt Vila and the harbour

At 9 am, the sun strikes the honey‑coloured ramparts while fishermen fold their nets along the Marina quay. You step through Portal de ses Taules, Philip II’s coat of arms above the arch, then trace the Santa Llúcia and Santa Tecla bastions that have guarded the bay since the 1500s. The Cathedral of Santa Maria, reworked in the 18th century, crowns the whitewashed roofs; below, the harbour still smells of salt trade and diesel. From here, it runs smoothly. Collected at your hotel in Talamanca or Figueretes, you have a Mercedes and dedicated driver on standby, reaching Dalt Vila in 10–15 minutes depending on traffic. In Ibiza with a private chauffeur, you’re dropped by Portal de ses Taules, free to visit the Cathedral and the Museu d’Art Contemporani d’Eivissa while parking is handled elsewhere, then guided down to the Marina to browse the fish market and try flaó at Can Malacosta as your driver navigates the narrow lanes. Timing flexes to you: a sunlit bastion, a coffee on the quay, and drop‑off back at the hotel or on Passeig de Vara de Rey.
