From the resort bustle of Costa Adeje to the switchbacks of the Teno massif, the shift is stark: beach chatter below, quiet ravines above. Masca clings to a basalt spur at around 600–650 m, ringed by agaves and old barley terraces. The TF-436, opened in the 1970s, twists 18 km from Santiago del Teide, with clean viewpoints at Cherfe and Degollada de Cherfe. Farther on, the Los Gigantes walls drop almost sheer—450 to 600 m of dark andesite—best framed from Mirador Archipenque or from the marina at Puerto de Santiago.
Your day starts at the hotel: pick‑up, chilled water, and a Mercedes at your disposal so the pace stays yours. With an Amani Limousines private driver in South Tenerife, we time Masca early before the tour coaches, grab coffee in Buenavista del Norte, then roll down to Los Gigantes for a two‑hour boat ride while your driver handles tickets and parking. In between, sample gofio and goat’s cheese in El Palmar, detour to Garachico if seas are rough, and cruise back via the TF‑1 in about 55 minutes.

To dodge TF‑436 traffic, reach Masca before 10:00 and book the 14:30 Los Gigantes boat: side light picks out the basalt columns.
