Montreux, Chillon and the Lavaux terraces

From Villars-sur-Ollon (1,250 m), it’s a 27 km drive via Ollon and Aigle to the eastern shore of Lake Geneva—about 45 minutes on Route 11 to Montreux. The road snakes above the Chablais vineyards, then the lake appears in full. Within easy reach: Chillon Castle, a Savoyard stronghold recorded as early as 1150, and, above Vevey, the terraced vineyards of Lavaux (UNESCO, 2007), carved since the 12th century by Cistercian monks. Expect talk of Chasselas, dry-stone walls, sun-facing slopes, and lake breezes that shape each vintage.

We collect you at your hotel in a Mercedes with flexible timing: your dedicated driver handles the road, you enjoy the visits. Pause on Montreux’s flowered promenade, then a guided circuit at Chillon including the vaulted dungeons, followed by an easy lunch in Villeneuve or Corseaux. Afternoon in Lavaux along the ridge road between Chexbres and Epesses, tasting with a local vintner and a 20-minute stroll on the Chemin des Vignes while your driver takes care of parking and reservations. Back in Villars by around 5:30 pm, just in time to unwind before dinner.
