Drizzle along the Limmat, then crisp, thin air at altitude—the jump from Zurich to the Jungfrau feels swift, and it is: under three hours by road. Past Interlaken the Eiger–Mönch–Jungfrau ridge fills the skyline, and Grindelwald unfolds like a glacial amphitheater. Since 2020, the Eiger Express cableway links Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher in 15 minutes, gliding just beneath the Eiger’s North Face. Up top, the Sphinx terrace at 3,571 m looks over the Aletsch, the Alps’ longest glacier, while the Ice Palace preserves galleries first carved in the 1930s.
From there, everything runs smoothly. Your driver from Zurich handles parking at Grindelwald Terminal, combo tickets for the gondola and Jungfraubahn, and tight connections. A Mercedes is at your disposal all day; grab a quick fondue at Kleine Scheidegg or stroll the snow plateau while your driver keeps an eye on the train schedule. Return via Lauterbrunnen for a different valley, with a photo stop at Staubbach Falls. Back in Zurich, our private chauffeur knows lakefront pick-up points that dodge rush-hour quayside traffic.
