Salt on the air and the rasping calls of flamingos set the tone at first light, as the marsh mosaic between Arles and Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer wakes up. At Pont de Gau bird park you get close with binoculars and see why the Salins de Giraud, 35 km away, turn the lagoons blush-pink when the mistral clears the sky.

From there, the day flexes to you: hotel pick‑up in Arles, a Mercedes at your disposal, and unhurried stops while your driver takes care of the road and timings.
