Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe

Back in 1912, the Jungfraujoch tunnel station opened after sixteen years of drilling through the Eiger and Mönch—a project by industrialist Adolf Guyer-Zeller, who even rerouted his plan to reach what became the Sphinx Observatory. From Lauterbrunnen the ascent threads past Wengen and up to Kleine Scheidegg, then into the high-altitude galleries to 3,454 m: rock windows on the north face, an ice palace carved from permafrost, and the full sweep of the 23 km UNESCO-listed Aletsch Glacier.

From there, we make it easy: your driver meets you at your Lauterbrunnen hotel in a dedicated Mercedes and stays on standby all day to match train times—and whims. You ride the rails while we handle parking near the station, ticket pickup, and luggage. On the way back, detours are simple: Trümmelbach Falls (10 minutes, 4 km) for roaring meltwater chutes, or the hairpins up to Isenfluh (15 minutes), before a relaxed valley return with your private chauffeur in Lauterbrunnen.
