A low thunder rolls first, then the clean, slatey smell of wet rock: inside the Jungfrau’s flank, Trümmelbach Falls pound through ten sculpted chutes fed by roughly 20,000 liters per second of glacial meltwater. Access comes via a 1913 inside funicular and lit walkways that brush the rock so closely you feel the spray on your cheeks. Down on the valley floor between Wengen and Mürren, Staubbach Falls drop 297 meters, hanging a fine mist over the meadows; further on, Stechelberg marks the very end of the road beneath the Breithorn.
Collected from your Lauterbrunnen hotel, you glide a short 3.5 km in a Mercedes to the Trümmelbach entrance. Your driver waits while you explore at your own pace, then continues along the valley road to Stechelberg with photo stops for Staubbach and, if you wish, a coffee at Alpenruh (or Hotel Horner). With a private chauffeur in Lauterbrunnen, flexibility leads the way: extra time, a detour to the Isenfluh cheesemaker, or a direct return. It’s an unhurried half‑day while your bags stay dry and the parking is handled for you.

Aim for opening time (around 8:30 in season) for thinner crowds and raking light in the chutes; bring a light waterproof, the walkways stay wet.
