At 9:15 a.m., your Mercedes slides out from Park Lane, west along the A4 and M4; forty kilometers later the Round Tower fills the windscreen. Inside Windsor Castle, you move from Charles II’s State Apartments to Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and into St George’s Chapel, resting place of Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth II. Around 11 a.m., when scheduled, the band strikes up on the Quadrangle for Changing the Guard. One step over the bridge and the Thames already divides Eton High Street from the Lower Ward.
This half‑day runs smoothly: hotel pick‑up, vehicle on standby, and a dedicated driver handling access and timing while you explore, taste, and take photos. Departing London with a private chauffeur, the plan mixes short walks with pinpoint drops: set‑down by the Castle entrance, 90–120 minutes to visit, a hop to Eton for the College Chapel and outfitter windows, then back via the 4.3‑km Long Walk laid out in the 17th century toward Snow Hill, meeting the car again at George IV Gateway for an unhurried return.
