Mist clears on the window as we pass Les Allues, switchbacks still in shade, the scent of fresh-cut wood in the air; ahead, Dent de Burgin catches first light. We aim for Courchevel 1850, a quick look at La Croisette and Bernard Orcel’s windows, then—when in season—the Col de la Loze road at 2,304 m for a Vanoise sweep; in winter we skirt via Le Praz and the Avals valley. Afternoon points to Val Thorens at 2,300 m with Cime Caron looming across the ridge, tracing the D117 to read the terrain: crests, bowls, and the logic of the links in the world’s largest connected ski area seen from the valley floor.

From there, the pace stays unhurried: hotel pickup in Méribel by your dedicated chauffeur in a Mercedes V-Class or EQS, depending on your party. The car remains at your disposal—coffee stop in La Tania, a detour to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville to see the 17th‑century baroque bell tower while the driver handles parking. Lunch is pre-booked at altitude—think La Bouitte in Saint-Martin (about 15 minutes by road from Les Menuires) or La Fruitière in Méribel-Mottaret.
