Leaving St. Moritz, we follow Route 27 southwest for 10 km to Sils-Maria, set between Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana at 1,800 m. Nietzsche spent the summers of 1881–1888 here in the Durisch house; his daily walks traced the peninsula of Chastè, where a stone still quotes him. From Sils-Föglias, the Fex valley is reached only on foot, by bike, or by horse-drawn carriage. Wayside chapels, shingle roofs, working hay meadows: this is living alpine country, not a stage set.
Your driver collects you from your St. Moritz hotel in a late-model Mercedes with water on board, and the car stays at your disposal for photo stops, small detours, and lunch timing. Smooth driving, context along the way, and while you tour the Nietzsche-Haus or stroll to Chastè, he handles logistics and the Waldhaus Sils booking.
