An evening on Avenue de la Muzelle

Set on the 1,650 m plateau, Avenue de la Muzelle runs straight between the main snow front and the Diable valley; you reach it from Grenoble in about 65 km via the D1091 and the old 21-bend climb from Venosc. Evenings revolve around long-standing dining rooms and revamped après-ski spots dating back to the 1980s. Chalet Mounier and its Michelin-starred P’tit Polyte, the Fromagerie des Alpes wine-and-cheese cave, L’Avalanche, and The Polar Bear line roughly 900 meters of lively pavement. Off to the side, the footbridge to Venosc hints at the milder Vénéon valley microclimate.

Your driver and vehicle stay on call throughout: hotel pickup on the avenue or the Alpe de Venosc side, first reservations secured, and you simply step out while transfers and parking are handled. Dine at Chalet Mounier, take a digestif at L’Avalanche, swing by the Windsor Pub, then head back when you’re ready.
