Head south from Pamplona via the NA‑113 and NA‑134: it’s 83 km, about 1 h 10, to the Arguedas visitor center, gateway to the Bardenas Reales. This semi‑desert of marl and sandstone—an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2000—breaks into mesas, badlands, and spires like Castildetierra. The Bardena Blanca loop runs on compact gravel tracks, often closed after rain, skirting Ribera artichoke fields. To the east, Bardena Negra rises toward 650 m with light pine woods. Now and then, F‑18s from the training range streak overhead: a landscape shaped by wind and by use.
Your driver collects you at your Pamplona hotel and keeps the Mercedes at your disposal all day. We mix photo stops, marked walks around Castildetierra and Pisquerra, then a tapas break in Tudela while he handles track conditions, access, and timing. Total flexibility: a detour to the Monasterio de la Oliva or a family pause at Senda Viva if you wish. In Navarre, with a dedicated private driver, you explore and taste lamb chilindrón and piquillo peppers while he drives and waits in the shade.

Your chauffeur’s tip
For sculpted light, plan 9:30–11:00 or after 17:00 from September to November; skip the day after storms, as tracks may close and clay sticks to everything.
