Private chauffeur in Zermatt & Täsch
At the foot of the Matterhorn, at 1,620 metres, Zermatt is the most famous car-free resort in the Alps: lanes lined with timber mazots, historic palace hotels — Mont Cervin Palace, Riffelalp Resort — and the world’s most photographed summit as a backdrop. Your private chauffeur to Zermatt covers the journey from Geneva, Zurich, Milan or Sion to the Täsch terminal, at a fixed price, coordinating the shuttle and handling skis and luggage to the platform.
The high mountains begin as you step off the train. The Gornergrat cogwheel railway has faced the Matterhorn since 1898, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise tops out at 3,883 metres — Europe’s highest cable-car station — and the Glacier Express sets off towards St. Moritz. Your chauffeur manages the Täsch connections and remains on call for excursions in the Rhône valley.

Frequently asked questions
Private chauffeur Zermatt & Täsch — your questions
How much does a transfer between Geneva Airport and Zermatt via Täsch cost?
A private transfer between Geneva-Cointrin (GVA) and Täsch — 230 km, about 3 hours — is charged at a fixed price, confirmed at booking. It includes a meet-and-greet in the arrivals hall with a name board, flight tracking, 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time and luggage assistance to the Zermatt shuttle platform.
Why can’t I arrive in Zermatt by car?
Zermatt has banned combustion vehicles since the 1960s to protect its air and its silence; only electric taxis and shuttles operate inside the village. All visitors arrive via Täsch, 5 km away: the shuttle train leaves every 20 minutes and reaches Zermatt in 12 minutes. We time your drop-off to the next departure.
Do you handle skis and bulky luggage through to the shuttle?
Yes. Our vans take skis, snowboards and season luggage with no hidden surcharge; at Täsch, your chauffeur loads everything onto the shuttle trolleys and walks you to the platform. On request, a Zermatt electric taxi takes over to the door of your hotel.
